Commissioned by Natyarangam for their Krishna Bharatham series, this presentation was featured amongst a series of stellar artistes. As a consolidation of popular and rare pieces of the legendary Oothukadu Venkatakavi, the production received positive responses from critics and rasikas alike. It was particularly commended for the fresh and innovative take on the popular Kalinga Narthana Thillana and Balasarasa Murali, one of the Saptaratna krithis which was featured in the format of a Varnam. Another unique facet is the conversation between Yashoda, Krishna and the gopis which was presented by stringing together 3 different and lesser-known compositions of the poet.
